The medical team will provide you with a preparation plan, but some instructions may include:

A medication review; certain medicines are not recommended during surgery and during the healing process
Arranging care; you will not be able to drive yourself home post-surgery, nor should you be alone for at least the first 24 hours.
No alcohol. Alcohol can thin the blood, affecting surgery and your healing process
No food before surgery

Procedure

In our free-standing surgical center, your surgery and post-anesthesia aftercare should last less than 5 hours. After general anesthesia, your surgery may look different depending on your goals. Once you have awakened from anesthesia, you will be released and can start your recovery.

Results, Recovery, and Aftercare
