Before and after photos of a baby with an ear tag, or pre-auricular skin tag, which is a benign growth in front of the ear caused by incorrect fusion of the embryonic soft tissues that form the external ear. When the patient was two months old (left), Dr. Liu surgically removed the skin tag under local anesthesia just as she nursed to sleep. She was comfortable throughout the procedure. At five months old (right), she is healed with minimal scar. Procedure performed by Yuen-Jong Liu, M.D.
